Huge Christmas Picture Update

This was the one thing I made time to make this year.  It was so much fun and looked really cute.  I never did fill the tins with treats, but the thought was there.

These pictures are for my friend Z.  She has been asking for these for a long time.  We hung crown molding and dropped rope lights behind them for a great ambient lighting affect.  It is so nice coming home late a night to soft light.  Makes the house warm and cozy.  I would recommend it highly.  (When we built the house we knew that we were going to do this, so we had outlets prewired in the corner of each room...No cord hanging down the wall and they are controlled by the switch.

The kids had a Christmas Concert and all sung 3 songs with their classes.  Nothing like a Marie Dickey concert, but the kids did great and sang their hearts out.  We had a mini photo shoot before we went.  Here are the kids cheesing it up.

Don't ask me why we always have pictures of Billie alone and not the boys.  I guess that is one of those things about having only one girl.

You would think I have lived here my whole life...

So the last 2 days the highs have been like 57.  Brrr...I am freezing.  I wore my jacket to work on Thursday and I actually wore socks with my shoes today.  The heater was on full blast this morning in the wee dark cold hours in the car. The heater in the house has been running too.   (The dog had to be at the vet by 7 and it was an hour away).  I have been drinking chai tea by the glass full.  Thank goodness Costco had it cheap again this year.  I know our plans include moving back up to cold country, but quite honestly I will have to readjust my temperature again.

Happy Weekend

I finally feel like I am about caught up with life again.  The Christmas decorations are almost put away.  Just the trees and a bit of garland remain.  The garage got reshuffled so that Bill's truck can be parked. (He is driving the company "car" now a Trail Blazer.) We almost have the old computer backed up and onto the new computer.  The dog is going to the vet tomorrow to get fixed.  The kids are doing great with me working.  Bill is the MOST amazing husband ever.  He is doing great with the picked up home responsibilities..  The only thing I am not caught up on is my sleep.  I picked up a nasty cold (imagine that~coming in contact with 4000 people a night doesn't have much to do with that I am sure!) I stayed home yesterday but I needed to go in today.  I am off the next two days and then I took monday off to be home with the kids.  I have to say we see some interesting folks and I love it.  Brian Urlacher and Danny Glover came through tonight.  I have come to learn that we must have the strictest checkpoint in airport history as you can't have your liquid things inside your carry~on and if your container is larger than 3.4 in the garbage it goes.  No ifs ands or buts.  People are always saying...I just came from (insert airport name) and they didn't say anything.  Too bad.  I love it.  I am a people person and I have fun at work.

Quick intermission

I interupt my life to tell you that I HAVE no life right now.  I would list all of the things that I DIDN'T get done over the holidays, but it would be too long.  What I did DO is spend time with my family.  We loved our time with our cousins.  I loved my time with my family and my kids.  I am looking forward to my new schedule and having a day off sometime at the end of next week.
